Professor Osborn is a partner in the Chicago office of Winston & Strawn LLP. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and private equity. As a partner in the firm’s M&A, securities and private equity practices, he counsels clients on their business development strategies and regularly represents private equity funds and public and private companies in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, going-private transactions, joint ventures, divestures, private financings, recapitalizations, and restructurings. He also advises clients on corporate governance, executive compensation, and general corporate matters. His experience spreads across a wide range of industries such as health care, financial services, retail and consumer products, and manufacturing. Professor Osborn has led transactions in a variety of industries, including technology, health care, financial services, retail, and manufacturing. He is a frequent speaker on the topics of mergers and acquisitions and private equity and has published several articles on these topics.
Prior to joining Winston & Strawn, Professor Osborn was a partner at Jenner & Block LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
