Professor Tomaszewski is a 2005 graduate of the College of Law, where she was an editor on the University of Illinois Law Review. After obtaining her MSLIS from the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois, she taught both Legal Research and Legal Writing at the College of Law. From 2014-2016, Professor Tomaszewski served as the Reporter of Decisions for the Supreme Court of Illinois.

Before attending law school, Professor Tomaszewski was a retail fashion buyer for a major retailer.
