Law 794:  Financial Accounting for Lawyers

This one-credit course is intended to acquaint law students who have no financial background with the major financial statements that business entities prepare and to explain what those financial statements can and cannot reveal about the financial status of those entities. Reading assignments in a handbook for practicing lawyers are followed by short ungraded quizzes that show how the concepts explained in the reading assignments are applied in real-life contexts. This online-only course, including the multiple-choice final exam.  The course will be offered for a 3-week period during the semester, specific dates will be published on the semester course schedule. 

Prerequisites: None

Evaluation: Multiple-choice final examination. This course is being offered on a pass-fail basis.
